My name is Omar Ghais and I’m a crypto enthusiast. I started investing in crypto at the end of December 2017. I was interested in the hype of cryptocurrencies and its potential. When I started investing in cryptos, it was at its peaks, so it was at the worst time. As a beginner and inexperienced investor, I found it difficult at first. Then I started to do more and more research about cryptocurrencies and I see great potential in it. The concept of decentralization was the main thing that attracts me to be a part of such a great economy.

After a year of doing DCA, another big dump happened in late 2018. In December, I remembered I was at the Blockshow event in Singapore, I met Bobby Lee that time and spent some time with him. He explained BITCOIN to me in great detail. At that time, he told me, “Omar, you are in the right way, but you invested in a bad time, focus on your crypto goals, and this is the best opportunity to grow because we are at the bottom”. I took that advice from him and invested my last hope in it.

After few months, I started seeing the real potential that crypto has in the world and I become more professional in crypto. Last year I joined OUTLIER VENTURE as a LLP, and this year I joined PANTERA CAPITAL as LP.

 

Both were my greatest success in crypto world, and I hope I can keep building and growing my crypto knowledge. The greatest thing that I even discovered in this experience is that we need to believe in ourselves, even if we fall we must come back stronger than ever.
